Compassion: Extending Kindness to Others

"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."

As we learn to be compassionate with ourselves, we naturally extend that compassion to others. Those who haven't walked our path may not understand us, but we can meet them with kindness anyway.

Today's Reflection

Recovery has taught us the power of compassion. We've received it from others, and now it's our turn to offer it. Kindness is a language that everyone understands.

Today, look for opportunities to show compassion to others. It might be a patient word with a frustrated stranger, a listening ear to a struggling friend, or simply a smile to someone who looks like they need one.

Today's Practice

Perform one act of kindness today without expecting anything in return. Let compassion flow through you to someone who needs it.
